In the aftermath of a spirited and transformative
anti-racism training conducted by team members of Crossroads
Ministry (and inspired by the formation of the new
department and PR/AR Team in the Northeast Area), a vital
body dedicated to guiding institutions through the process
of dismantling racism, the SEGA
Pro-Reconciliation/Anti-Racism (PR/AR) Team was born. SEGA
PR/AR seeks to live out the General Church’s Reconciliation
mission by supporting Area churches and affiliate ministries
in the work of eradicating systemic racism through
organizing, education, and advocacy. A borrowing library of
materials on PR/AR issues is in development at the SEGA
office on the campus of Eden Theological Seminary. If you
have audio/video or print materials you would like to donate
to the PR/AR Lending Library, please contact
Sandra Dorton
(dortonsl@yahoo.com)
or drop materials off at the SEGA Conference Room. Under the
administration of SEGA, SEGA PR/AR has started SEGA PR/AR
Endowment Fund as seed monies for the ongoing work of
reconciliation in your area. If you would like to contribute
financially to the SEGA PR/AR Endowment Fund, please make
your checks payable to SEGA (be sure to write PR/AR on the
Memo line) and forward to the SEGA Office, 475 E. Lockwood,
Webster Groves, Missouri, 63119. For more information
regarding SEGA PR/AR or to join in local reconciliation
efforts, please contact
